Recreating the memory - process 1.

Ok.. another video as a part of new process..
This is a edited footage that I took during last summer in an old building in downtown LA. The building was abandoned for almost 20 years, untouched.

The objective of the video was to examine the instant perception and capturing of the image and recreating the memory through the editing.

After this, I am going to create a physical model off from the video - so the memory of the building is literally recreated through the filter of the video in physical term. Ah... it's gonna be crappy for sure though.

You make that model yet? post it post it!

In Vico I teamed up with Jenille and Johan for our studio project. Our site had a 400 year old farmhouse and some other 100 year old houses on it. The city had grown up around the site. Our job was to develop the site too. I made a really cool conceptual model of the old farmhouse with all sorts of things added to it, old rooflines pasted to the walls from buildings no longer there, to some other modifications over the years. It was fun. The model was a way of developing a rule-set in which to prosuethe rest of the project. You should do one of those models. Fuck Ji its already mid feb. you need buildings on your blog
